GERMANY: Puma extends performance product range

By | 7 February 2013

Puma has launched a new running shoe, and a two compression products as it extends its range of performance products.

The Puma Mobium Elite is its first generation adaptive running shoe, uses a number of technologies that work together to expand and contract as the foot naturally does during the gait cycle. The company said it has been working on developing the adaptive running category for the past two years and that it "encourages a more natural movement and efficient stride"

It launched Puma ACTV, which takes the principle of athletic taping, where strips of fabric are placed directly onto the skin in specific patterns and builds the tape directly into the garments. The garments use compression technology and elasticised silicon tape strategically placed on the inside of the garments mimics an athlete's muscle patterns and provides micro-massage in specific areas. The range is designed to work with the body, helping to maximise muscle power.

The sportswear brand also announced Puma Rcvr, which is designed to help maximise recovery post workout. It fuses the recovery benefits of targeted compression with athletic taping to help work with the body's natural systems and support fatigued muscles.
