Menswear retailer Jos A Bank Clothiers Inc on Wednesday posted a 50 per cent rise in fourth quarter net profit and attributed the jump to an improvement in quality and strong Internet and catalogue sales.

The retailer said in a statement it made $4.4 million, or 70 cents a diluted share, in the quarter, versus $2.9m, or 48 cents a diluted share, in the year-ago period.
