Reebok International has named Matt O'Toole as its new chief marketing officer.

His prior position as Reebok's president of North America will be succeeded by Jim Gabel, currently senior vice president of Adidas America.

Adidas-owned Reebok said that O'Toole's appointment starts tomorrow (1 April), while Gabel will join the company in mid-April. Both will report directly to Reebok's new president and CEO, Uli Becker.

Prior to his appointment to president of Reebok North America, O'Toole served as president and CEO of Reebok-CCM Hockey.

Gabel, meanwhile, has more than 15 years of footwear and apparel management experience, Reebok said, and prior to his role at Adidas America served as president of Adidas Canada, together with positions at Champion Canada and Mizuno Canada.

Becker said: "I am confident that with Matt and Jim in these key roles we have set ourselves up for great success in the future. Both have track records that speak for themselves and bring the necessary leadership and experience to grow the brand both in the US and globally."
