US: RG Barry appoints Prather to lead Superga business
Shoe maker RG Barry has named Juliana Prather as brand president for its recently licensed Superga fashion footwear business.
Prather most recently worked at global strategic consulting firm Neofocus, leading projects for global brand management and retail. She has also held several director level positions at Liz Claiborne business units, the company said.
"Juliana brings a wealth of global sales and marketing expertise to our new business team," said Thomas JZ Konecki, RG Barry senior vice president of sales, licensing and business development.
"We are quite excited and believe that her knowledge of luxury, fashion and international retailing will be invaluable as we introduce Superga to North America's premier department stores and footwear boutiques during the next year."
Under a licensing agreement with BasicNet SpA of Turin, Italy, RG Barry is to be the exclusive US licensee for Superga brand footwear. The company will also become the exclusive Canadian licensee for Superga beginning in July 2008.
