Denim manufacturer Santana Textiles has completed the development of a new spinning and weaving plant on a 33-acre site in Edinburg, Texas.

The facility, which will produce denim lines for fashion designers, will also house the company’s storage warehouses, as well as its 800 employees, making it Santana’s largest plant.

“The fact that a Brazilian manufacturer chose to build their newest plant here in Rio South Texas will come as no surprise to those who understand this region,” said Raudel Garza, executive director of the Rio South Texas Economic Council (RSTEC).

RSTEC, which has 22 members, helps companies looking to relocate to or expand in the Rio South Texas area.
