GERMANY: Second Texprocess trade fair on track
Organisers of the Texprocess sewn products, sourcing and equipment trade fair, which opens its doors for the second time later this year, say they are confident the event is on track to repeat the success of the first show.
More than 70% of the exhibition space is already booked at the show, which is being held concurrently with the Techtextil trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, from 10-13 June.
"The unique concept of holding the fair parallel to Techtextil, its innovative character and the 'Source it' procurement platform are exactly in line with the needs of the market," notes Detlef Braun, member of the executive board of organiser Messe Frankfurt.
Equipment on show at Texprocess includes design and pattern making, sewing, embroidery, knitting, finishing and logistics.
There is also a dedicated IT hall that will feature software solutions for pattern design, product lifecycle management (PLM), enterprise resource planning systems, trade and internal and external logistics. The line-up also includes 3D visualisation, 3D body scanning and RFID technology.
And the 'Source it' segment offers a procurement platform where national pavilions and manufacturers can demonstrate their expertise.
"With this service, we offer the fashion industry great additional value," Braun adds. "Besides the latest technologies, buyers at the fair also have the chance to gather information about suitable contractors."
