Actress Selena Gomez has teamed up with Sears to inspire teens and tweens to go "back to school with style".

Gomez, who is best known for her role in the Disney Channel series, "Wizards of Waverly Place," has teamed up with Sears as part of the retailer's back to school integrated marketing campaign.

During the back-to-school campaign, Gomez will debut different Sears looks with various fashion personalities.

These include skate-style outfits, rocker styles, hip-hop styles and pop-styles.

Melanie Henson, chief marketing officer, Sears Apparel said: "For teens and tweens, fashion says a lot about their personalities - and back-to-school is a perfect time for them to define their look". Gomez will also be hosting the Sears Arrive Air Band Casting Call - to create the first-ever Sears air band, which will perform at the MTV Video Music Awards on September 13, 2009 in New York City.

Gomez said: "Music and fashion are two of the ways I really get to express myself".

Participants can enter the Sears Arrive Air Band Casting Call at www.Arrivelounge.com. Four band members have been selected and Sears will choose one more person, aged eight to 16, at the end of August.
