The US Senate has confirmed Robert Adler and Anne Northup as commissioners of the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the watchdog that oversees the safety of products including clothing and footwear sold in the US.

The appointments mean the CPSC now has a full slate of five commissioners including chair Inez Moore Tenenbaum, Nancy Nord and Thomas Moore>

Together they will are tasked with leading efforts to properly implement the new Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA).
