After a break of more than two years, the Brazilian footwear industry has resumed its exports to Argentina.

According to the Latin American News Services, the Brazilian footwear association Abicalcados says this is the first business recovery after two years of crisis.

Prior to the stoppage, Argentina was Brazil's second largest footwear customer.

In the first four months of this year, 1.5 million pairs of shoes were sold, worth US$12.2 million.
