ITALY: Stefano Sassi confirmed as Valentino managing director

Valentino Fashion Group has appointmented a new board following its takeover by Red & Black Srl, a unit owned by private equity firm Permira.

Early this month it was reported that Permira had a 97% stake in the Italian fashion firm.

The company's has appointed Umberto Carlo Maria Nicodano as its chairman and Stefano Sassi as managing director.

Other board members named at the Ordinary Shareholders' meeting in Milan yesterday (21 September) were Gianluca Andena, Fabrizio Carretti, Paolo Colonna, Maurizio Dallocchio, Giovanni Ferrario, Gaetano Marzotto, Paolo Carlo Orazio Marzotto and Martin Weckwerth.
