Shoe producer Steven Madden Ltd on Monday posted a 19 per cent jump in second quarter net income to $5.3 million as its results were boosted by a 48 per cent surge in sales to $88.1m from $59.6m in 2001. The firm said revenue from its wholesale business - Steve Madden Womens, Steve Madden Mens, Stevies, lei and David Aaron brands - beat expectations by soaring 66.5 per cent to $65.7m.
