US: Tandy Brands names McGeachy CEO

Tandy Brands Accessories Inc has hired VF Corp executive N Roderick (Rod) McGeachy III as its president and chief executive officer.

Mr McGeachy most recently served as vice president, strategy and business development at VF Jeanswear Americas, a subsidiary of VF Corp, where he managed the business development activities of the $2.9bn revenue Jeanswear coalition and its Wrangler and Lee brands across North and South America.

He has also held management and marketing positions at Accenture and Sara Lee Corporation.

JSB Jenkins, chairman of the board of Tandy Brands, said: "Rod brings a proven track record of delivering strong, profitable revenue growth throughout his career."

Mr McGeachy added: "My near-term objectives will be to work with our suppliers, our retailer partners, and our dedicated associate base to develop the products and marketing programs needed to reinvigorate Tandy Brands' revenue growth and maximise returns for our shareholders."

Tandy Brands Accessories designs and markets fashion accessories for men, women and children.
