The Association of Turkish Clothing Industrialists (TGSD) on Thursday revealed Turkish companies exported textile goods worth $2.86 billion (3.3bn euros) in 2001, up 10.7 per cent from the previous year. Exports of ready-to-wear garments climbed 0.5 per cent to $7.48bn (8.7bn euros) for 2001, with $2.41bn (2.8bn euros) worth of ready-to-wear products exported to Germany and $1.18bn (1.4bn euros) to the US.
