Exports of Egyptian yarns, textiles and clothes to the US rose nearly two per cent last year to $508.5 million last year, the Egyptian Chamber of Textile Industries said on Wednesday. The chamber said that total accounted for 57.9 per cent of the country's total exports to the US in 2001. Exports of ready-made clothes to the US fell 4.6 per cent to $387.1m from 2000.
