VIETNAM: Textile exports up 24.3% in first five months
Textile and garment exports from Vietnam have jumped 24.3% to nearly US$2.7bn in the first five months of this year.
Vietnam is aiming to earn US$7bn from garment export sales during full-year 2007, according to news reports citing the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (Vitas) yesterday (5 June).
The Vitas portal, which is promoting exports to the US, the EU, Japan and beyond, was not available to view today, however.
