Garment maker Hong Ho Precision Textile Co Ltd has posted a huge jump in first half net profit to NT$61.5 million from NT4.4m in the year-ago with revenue reaching NT1.9 billion.

The company, which mainly produces T-shirts and casual apparel, said that growth was mainly due to a half-year return of NT$64.9m on non-operating investment in its factories in Mexico and Palau.

It added its Mexican factory can produce up to 600,000 pieces of clothing a year while its Palau plant can churn out up to 240,000 garment pieces a year.
