Leading off-price clothing chain The TJX Companies Inc on Thursday announced a two per cent climb in consolidated same-store sales got August and said total sales climbed 11 per cent to $920 million from $826m in 2001. The operator of 704 stores under banners including TJ Maxx and Marshalls, said for the fiscal year-to-date, consolidated same-store sales were up four per cent and total sales up 13 per cent at $5.6 billion.
