US: Toray partners with Pony for Ultrasuede footwear range

Toray Ultrasuede has formed a partnership with Pony International to launch two new shoe styles for the performance footwear market. 

The companies said their first two "Punk" models would hit stores in time for the back to school market in mid-June.

Pony public relations director Colin Brickley said: "We tested Ultrasuede and it performed far higher than actual suede in terms of abrasion-resistance."

The range will be available in black, dark charcoal and red in the men's version, and a chocolate and pink with gold women's model.
