US: Under Armour appoints apparel VP

Under Armour, Inc has appointed Suzanne Karkus as the company's senior vice president of apparel.

Karkus will oversee the growth and expansion of the entire Under Armour Apparel line. She joins Under Armour from IZOD Womenswear where, as president, she launched the brand in 2003.

Karkus will report directly to Kevin Plank, chairman and CEO of Under Armour.

"Suzanne is a great addition for Under Armour and brings invaluable and unparalleled industry experience to our internal team of industry and brand experts," said Plank. "She's a creative talent with a great business sense and the leadership skills necessary to guide the continued success of Under Armour's established apparel business."

Prior to IZOD, Karkus served as president of the women's division of Calvin Klein Jeans.
