Twenty technicians and production operators from the Ramatex Textiles Industry Sdn Bhd have been sacked for trying to set up a union workers committee according to reports in The Sun (Malaysia). The workers, all members of the Johor Textile Workers Union, were told they had been dismissed due to leaving the workplace, holding pickets and breaking company rules, but officials at the union claim they were unfairly dismissed for attempting to set up the committee.
