The 2,680 sq mt store is expected to open this summer

Japanese casual clothing brand Uniqlo has revealed plans to open its first store in Indonesia this year.

The 2,680 sq mt store located in the new Lotte Shopping Avenue in the Kuningan district of Jakarta will open this summer. It will be one of the brand's largest stores in Southeast Asia and include clothing for men, women, children and babies.

Uniqlo, which operates 338 stores in Asia, said the region offers tremendous growth opportunities.

The store is part of a joint venture agreement between Uniqlo's parent company Fast Retailing and Mitsubishi Corporation, which aims to accelerate its expansion in the region.
