Czech textile producer Veba has disclosed unaudited results showing a 21 per cent year on year sales increase during 2000 according to report by news service Interfax.

According to the company, it reached sales of CZK1.4bn ($37m) worth of goods during the year

The company claimed that a streamlining of its operations and a re-launching of its exports following a split with the Centrotex company in 1999 has enabled Veba to improve on last years recorded losses of CZK30m ($795,011).

Throughout 2000, exports from the company accounted for 76 per cent of the company sales, with the majority of those heading for Germany, the US, Scandinavia and West Africa.
