A new underwear line for girls aged between eight and 15 is being launched in a joint venture between lingerie maker Wacoal and children clothing maker Narumiya International.

The range will be jointly designed by the two companies, and manufactured and sold using Wacoal's production facilities and sales network in Japan.

It is due to go on sale in 30 Japanese department stores in July 2003. Sales of 300 million Japanese yen ($2.453 million) are targeted by March 2004.
