Leading women's underwear company Wacoal Co today announced plans to expand its CW-X sportswear brand into European and North America markets.

French sports goods retailer Decathlon SA will lead the European push. The Lille-based firm has a sales network covering 300 stores in seven European nations and will start selling Wacoal's cycling and sports wear in March 2003. First-year sales are estimated at 20,000 units.

the United States, Wacoal is spending $300,000 on setting up a New York sales company called Wacoal Sports Science Corp for its CW-X brand sportswear. Sales of $2.1 million are predicted in fiscal 2003.
