CANADA: West 49 profit slips 35% to $2.2m in Q4

Canadian action sport retailer West 49 said its net income for the fourth quarter was $2.2m, down from $3.4m in Q4 2006, as it moved to liquidate older merchandise and lower prices to cope with cross border shopping and softer retail conditions in Ontario.
