A new store being set up at Wipro Technologies' campus in Bangalore, India, will show how radio frequency identification technology (RFID) systems can automate checkout, stock maintenance, and the tracing and tracking of goods in a clothing shop.

The store showcases RFID technology and has been launched to help customers understand how RFID helps integrate business processes in an actual retail environment.

"We have a dedicated team of industry practitioners who are setting up an RFID laboratory where we can better understand and leverage the physics of RFID to create solutions for our customer," said Mr Bhanu Murthy, vice president for retail, CPG and distribution at Wipro Technologies.
