The Xingtai Non-Woven Fabric Company in Fujian's Jinjiang City is likely to become China's third largest non-woven fabric production base as its annual capacity approaches 11,000 tons by the end of this year Asia Pulse reported today.

The largest producers are the Guangdong Nanxin Company with an annual production capacity of 15,000 tons and the Kaiping Huashida Company with an annual capacity of 12,000 tons.

The private company bought two bonded spun-non-weaving equipment manufactured by the Shenyang Non-Woven Fabric Center in 2000 and imported a non-woven fabric production line from the Italian S.T.P. company.

The company now has three non-woven fabric production lines, with a combined capacity of 9,000 tons. One has started production and the other two are scheduled for operation in the middle of the year.
