DeSL can deliver a fully integrated design, sourcing and selling, web based, collaborative infrastructure. As well as purchasing traditional licences to use the software, customers can opt to choose DeSL's low Software as a Service (SaaS) based on a number of users per month. Technically, our solutions are unrivalled. All our software is developed using Microsoft.Net and is developed using native Internet architecture and is designed to support Service Orientated Architecture (SOA) for ease of integration.

DeSL's PLM product has been designed specifically to deliver fast and predictable business benefits. The solution has been developed with flexibility and global collaboration in mind. The user interface is a complete 'web portal' with full content management and security facilities.

DeSL Solution Overview

Every process from initial sketch through to product selection is available and configurable by the end user.

You make the solution work in the way you wish it to! Every role in the development process is available and configurable - typical roles deployed include: Garment Design, Garment Technical, Fabric Design, Merchandising, Costings, Planning, Suppliers, Agents, Audit Teams, Shippers and Consolidators etc.

The following key processes are available as standard:

Line planning - financial and operational planning, generate placeholders for styles, fabrics and trims, manage progress and assign resources

Story Boards - web based for customer review and approval, integrated to Illustrator and MS Publisher.

Product definition - build a library of ranges, finished products, fabrics, trims, labels, images etc

Request for samples - fast and effective way to produce and manage sample requests including the attachment of sketches, photographs, summary specifications etc combined with real time supplier notification and critical path tracking.

Product specifications - user defined specification content, version & change control, on-line real time updates, design & technical specifications, grade rules & required components etc.

Request for development - any product types with multiple suppliers, e.g finished products, fabrics, trims etc combined with links to product specifications, real time supplier updates and critical path and workflow management.

Costings - integrated to product specifications, user defined cost elements, landed cost calculations, margin modelling and what if analysis.

Supplier cost quotations - quotes for finished goods, fabrics, trims etc linked to product specifications along with user defined cost templates and full approval/rejection cycle.

Product Approvals - any product types eg, finished product samples, fabrics, trims etc covering all processes such as concept fits, seals, lab dips etc combined with real time supplier/customer notifications and tracking of progress.

Document management - linked to key entities such as products, suppliers and customers with multiple security levels, version control, check in/out and document approval/rejection process

Supplier 'self service' - enable suppliers to sign on to see their time and action calendars, sample and development requests, process quotations, update their profiles and view or upload documents.

Collaborative forums - real time on line discussions with suppliers about key design and development activities delivering full accountability and traceability.

All of the above processes can be managed by DeSL's Critical Path & Workflow applications to enable users to build their own business rules and automatically schedule and manage key activities with automatic escalation combined with the ability to manage by exception.

Reduce Design Time By 20%

DeSL has launched the new Adobe Illustrator Integrator "plug in", which is a powerful addition to the
design workspace. The Integrator "plug in" is already in use with a number of design teams and has
been proven to reduce design time by up to 20%.

This new application has been specifically developed to allow creative teams to perform all of their
product management tasks without having to leave Illustrator, whilst also enabling users to request
samples from nominated vendors, in real time, directly from their Adobe Illustrator workspace. The
result of this means companies are able to significantly accelerate time to market as the "plug-in"
enables designers to focus on being creative, removing all manual and non-design related tasks such
as creating JPG's and uploading these to folders and products.
