Experiencing a boom in demand and revenues, major French ready-to-wear clothing retailer, JL International, recently turned to Lectra Fashion PLM to streamline its processes and facilitate its expansion. Over the past two years, the company has grown from 120 to 140 stores, and between 2006 and 2007, its sales jumped more than 16%. Touched by the "fast fashion" phenomenon, JL International has begun planning "inter-collections" - two mid-season collections in addition to their regular collections.
These factors combined prompted JL International to look for new ways to update and optimise working methods, accelerate lead times, and liberate creative time for their designers. Lectra Fashion PLM now enables the company to organise, manage, and share data related to the development of collections through the use of a collaborative web-based platform. Information exchange is easier, decision-makers have total visibility of the complete value chain, and time-to-market is shortened. With the help and advice of Lectra's expert teams, JL International has taken a technological leap forward and implemented a solution that will support growth for years to come.
