Danish-owned fashion manufacturer LTP Group is implementing a cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) system to help improve lead-time and warehousing processes throughout its supply chain and drive growth.

The contract garment manufacturer for brands such as Kjus, House of Lola and Peak Performance, is deploying Infor CloudSuite Fashion throughout its production facilities in Europe and the Far East.

With over 1,200 employees throughout seven factories, the company produces more than 3m items a year.

Handling such high production volumes, LTP says it faces the challenges of continual changes to designs while earlier iterations of those designs are in production. In order to accommodate this environment, LTP sought a solution that could offer full ERP and PLM integration, while still delivering standard processes.

"In an industry as competitive and innovative as fashion, the ability to create customer value by integrating product development with the back-end processes can be a real advantage," says Morten Ostergaard, CEO, LTP Group. 'Our investment in Infor technology is first and foremost about ensuring we are positioned for growth, able to respond to customer demands more quickly and with greater agility."

LTP chose to implement via the cloud because it will allow the company to remain focused on its core business whilst Infor assumes responsibility for the hosting, maintenance and upgrades of the technology. Cloud deployment also offers consistency across the different geographies within the Group and a simple path for future expansion.

"Fashion manufacturers continue to look to technology to offer not only the cost savings of standardisation, but also the innovative tools of growth," adds Andrew Dalziel, industry and solution strategy director, Infor. "The cloud underpins both of these benefits and will help deliver consistency, standardisation and speed to LTP."
