US: Gerber Technology and Geometric partner on PLM

A new partnership agreed today (11 June) between Gerber Technology and Geometric Limited should enable fashion and apparel firms to integrate Gerber’s Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software suite into their existing ERP business systems.
Under the deal, Geometric will provide a range of integration services to help companies extend the value of Gerber’s PLM – which includes webPDM, webView and webFolio.
They will also be able to link functionalities and geographies throughout their supply chain to enable efficiency and speed-to-market.
“Tight integration of systems to support supply chain visibility and agility is of paramount importance to a fashion company’s profitability,” notes Bill Brewster, Gerber Technology's vice president, global marketing and product management.
Geometric’s DRAPED methodology is also said to speed PLM integration by over 25% for fashion and apparel firms.
