US: Simparel develops PLM solution

ERP solution provider Simparel has expanded its repertoire of products to include a PLM solution governing design, concept, planning and pre-production.

The company said its “unique data dictionary approach” would allow companies to obtain a fully configured PLM specifically suited to their business.

“The biggest failings for PLM are complicated, long and expensive implementations that often cause more problems than they solve,” said Richard Farb, vice president of sales and marketing at Simparel.

Simparel aims to get around these problems by providing 100% metadata-driven applications, allowing customers to select the parts they like, and change the ones they don’t.

The company said the resultant system was fluid and engineered for change.
