Vald'or Apparel is implementing PLM, ERP and Shop Floor Control systems to bring a new level of efficiency and collaboration to its global operations.
The Florida-based company manufactures private label and branded apparel for leading brands, with an office and factory in Jordan and an additional factory opening in Haiti this year.
Vald'or selected NGC's software to replace its outdated legacy solutions and support the company's rapid growth.
"Our primary goal is to become more efficient," said Robert Rothbaum, president and CEO, adding that he expects to improve efficiency at Vald'or in a number of key areas, including enhanced collaboration, exception management, and better raw materials management.
"Without a centralised system, everyone works in siloed 'mini-systems' that don't communicate with the rest of the enterprise," Rothbaum said.
The new systems include workflow calendars and exception management that will help drive better efficiency throughout the company, with exception dashboards automatically notifying all parties when an event is late or due.
The company will also know exactly what raw materials to order, with the fashion PLM and ERP systems giving a better understanding of pending or shipped orders, product availability, and raw materials requirements.
Efficiency improvements are also expected to extend to the factory floor, where NGC's Shop Floor Control will help Vald'or balance its sewing lines and improve the performance and efficiency of individual factory workers.
