The American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC) has elected Cotton Incorporated's R Michael Tyndall as its next president, replacing Fred Cook of Georgia Tech who will step down in January.

Tyndall has been a senior member of AATCC since 1976, and has served the Association both at regional and international levels.

President-elect Peter J Hauser of North Carolina State University's College of Textiles, who was elected this autumn, will become AATCC president in 2013. The changes also mean Fred Cook will serve as immediate past-president for a two-year term.
