Adams childrenswear is gaining on market leader Mark & Spencer with sales perfomance for the 15 weeks since August 1 increasing by 11.4 per cent and market share for the 52 week period to September 24 growing from 7.1 per cent to 7.5 per cent.

The back-to-school period (August and September) saw Adams market share growing substantially, the company now holds 11 per cent of the schoolwear market, up from 7.5 per cent last year. Adams leapfrogged from fifth to second place during this critical schoolwear period.
