Sportswear company Adidas-Salomon AG, which this week announced it was selling its Salomon winter sports goods arm, says it predicts sales and profits to continue to rise during 2006, Dow Jones reported.

The company's chief executive wants to further increase the company's margins and invest more in marketing to grow the business even further.

Adidas expects 2005 net income to rise at the higher end of previously released targets of between ten per cent and 15 per cent.
