Sporting goods company Adidas Group is seeking compensation from a retailer in China accused of using its three stripes trademark without permission, reported local media.

According to the Shanghai Daily newspaper, Adidas has lodged the complaint against a Wandanu sports franchise store and Jinjiang Bailuchi Sports Co.

It is thought the court claim relates to shoes featuring the same three stripe trademark Adidas has registered in the country.

A spokesperson for Adidas told just-style that the company does not comment on pending litigation.
