Sportswear giant Adidas has signed a $26.67 million deal with The University of Kansas to kit out all of its teams for the next eight years, signalling the end of a long-lasting agreement with Nike, which outfitted the University's football and basketball squads.

The Adidas deal covers 18 intercollegiate teams, which will wear Adidas footwear, uniforms and accessories.

Adidas's kit will be seen on the University's athletes from autumn onwards, while the company will sell a Kansas line starting in August.
