Fashion retailer Adolfo Dominguez said first-quarter net profit was up 38.6% to EUR4.6m (US$5.9m) on a 28.5% turnover rise to EUR49.7m.

The company had 346 stores as of the end of March, marking a 4.21% increase from last year.

Dominguez plans to concentrate global growth on the Japanese and Mexican markets this year. It will also increase its Spanish retail network.
