Socially responsible T-shirt manufacturer American Apparel is expanding its Classic Baby line of fashionable T-shirts and related apparel following increased demand for products tailored for infants and kids.

The new line will offer a broader selection of styles, colours and fabrics in high-quality T-shirts and apparel for infants ranging from 3 to 24 months up to kid size 6.

"I foresee that expanding on our kids division will be very rewarding for American Apparel, as we have found that there is quite a definite demand for good quality blanks for the little ones," said Sandra Martinez, children's wear manager.

Having established a fashionable business model as "the largest Sweatshop Free manufacturing company in the US that is intent on paying its workers a living wage," American Apparel recently contracted with Environmental Textiles to recycle its entire cutting and fibre scraps.
