Amrit Exports, one of India’s largest industrial safety and work wear manufacturers and exporters, has chosen the TUKA3D software suite to help speed up sample development.

“Since all our pattern making is now digital, we decided to graduate to the next step in automation with 3D virtual garments,” says Anand Buchasia, founder of Amrit Exports Pvt Ltd, which is based in West Bengal.

“We are now looking at reducing the development time,” adds co- founder Anil Buchasia, who is responsible for sales and marketing. “3D virtual samples make more sense today than ever. I love the built-in motion simulator that gives instant feedback on mistakes so we can correct and move on immediately.”

Amrit has 24 factories in Kolkata and nearby villages which produce over 2.5m units every month. The company uses Oracle for its management and information systems, and Tukatech for pattern making, grading, marker making, cut data generation and e-fit Simulators for product development and communication with clients in Europe and the US.

The TUKA3D modules for design, fit, and collaboration help designers, pattern makers and apparel manufacturers to present styles, test the fit of a garment or share fit comments.
