California-based clothing retailer Anchor Blue has promoted Chris Finazzo to executive VP responsible for overseeing the creation of a line of teen apparel and accessories.

Reporting to Anchor Blue CEO Tom Sands, Finazzo is charged with Anchor Blue’s merchandising, marketing, design and sourcing departments. 

“Anchor Blue is driving to become a strong young adult brand and the primary destination for denim in the mall,” he says.

Finazzo joined the firm, which has 112 stores in the western United States, after nearly a decade at Aeropostale where he served in various roles including executive vice president and chief merchandising officer.

“Under Finazzo’s leadership we look to expand our product offering while we continue to offer a fresh, broad assortment of denim for young adults and teens,” says Sands.
