Retail software firm ProfitLogic on Tuesday announced leading women's fashion group AnnTaylor Stores Corp had selected its Markdown Optimisation solution called ProfitLogic Price.

The company said the retailer would use the solution to help it make more profitable pricing decisions in its 628 stores, including 355 Ann Taylor stores, 246 Ann Taylor Loft stores and 27 Ann Taylor Factory stores.

"We are excited about working with ProfitLogic to help us improve our merchandising decisions," said Bud Wagner, SVP information services at Ann Taylor.

"The knowledge that is provided through the Markdown Optimisation module will help us improve our gross margins."
