Officials in India on Monday imposed a final anti-dumping duty on all imports of acrylic yarn from Nepal.

The Asia Pulse newspaper reported that India’s finance ministry has imposed a duty of 14 US cents per kg on Reliance Spinning Mills Ltd and a duty of 35 US cents on all other exporters of the said item from Nepal.

It follows a probe which concluded acrylic yarn has been exported from Nepal below its normal value and the Indian industry has suffered material injury due to price undercutting, price suppression and significant increase in dumped imports from Nepal.
