Autumn 2002 will see a bid by the Grudy footwear group to establish its brand in the UK and across the major EU markets.

Since its foundation in l993 the company has become one of Brazil's largest producers of sandals. Its speciality is a range of 'anti-stress' sandals designed on "anatomically correct principles for maximum comfort."

Particular features of the construction are a pierced sole unit allowing greater ventilation during hot weather, plus a shock absorbing insole which massages the foot with each step.

"In our view healthy footwear doesn't have to be boring - so we offer our sandals in a full selection of high fashion colours which link in with the shades which we believe will be the European market's favourite tones for summer 2003," the company says.
