Indian garment exports to quota countries have fallen 16.42 per cent for October compared to the same period a year prior, the Apparel Export Promotion Council has revealed.

Export quantities fell to 67.2 million pieces for the month, at a value of US$257.1 million which was 10.14 per cent down on last year's figure.

Exports to the US, meanwhile, fell 22.18 per cent to 20.7 million pieces, and 16.13 per cent to US$104m, compared to the same period last year.
