Lithuanian retailer Apranga Group and Inditex have signed a franchise agreement for development of the Massimo Dutti chain in the Baltic States.

It is the fifth concept of world's leading fashion retailer Inditex group to be developed by Apranga Group in the Baltics. The companies have collaborated since 2004.

A statement said the first Massimo Dutti store will be opened in Vilnius in shopping and entertainment center Akropolis end of August 2011, with ten Massimo Dutti openings planned in total in the Baltic States.

Massimo Dutti was acquired by the Inditex Group in 1991, and currently has 530 stores in 50 countries. Apranga Group operates a chain of 116 stores, with 75 in Lithuania, 31 in Latvia and 10 in Estonia.
