The UK's largest clothing retailer Arcadia Group has struck a three-year deal to implement internet access policies from Webwasher by Secure Computing.

The company, which operates over 2,500 high street outlets including Burton, Dorothy Perkins, Evans, Miss Selfridge, Outfit, Topshop, Topman and Wallis, decided to change its internet filtering system to replace the URL filter solution they were using.

The access policies are designed to ensure that the company does not face any legal liability that may result from allowing inappropriate content into the workplace, and to prevent the exposure of personal employee or customer data to attack or theft, Secure Computing said.

Arcadia's technology manager Steve Hall said: "The performance, implementation, and management of Webwasher has been exceptional. When help was needed in the early stages, we found the support team provided an excellent level of service—both fast and highly knowledgeable."
