Southern California-based sportswear designer Ashworth Inc has introduced a new Corporate Security Department to take responsibility for its trademark protection, branding security and product security worldwide.

Investigations conducted in the US and the UK have already led to the recovery of a significant amount of counterfeit and diverted product.

The company is implementing a no tolerance position, globally, with any individuals or companies that infringe upon its trademarks or products, or sell into unauthorised distribution channels. And in the spirit of cooperation, Ashworth says that it will work with all companies whose brands have been unfairly and improperly affected.
