Performance and athletic apparel maker Augusta Sportswear Brands has invested in a new product lifecycle management (PLM) solution to help accelerate its speed-to-market capabilities.

The company designs and manufacture uniforms for teams, coaches, athletes and fans, with its five brands – Augusta Sportswear, Holloway, Russell Athletic, High Five and now Pacific Headwear – combining to form one of the largest suppliers of youth to adult team uniforms in the industry.

It has selected a "wide set of tools" from Discover e-Solutions' (DeSL) beginning with the firm's PLM and backed by Supplier Relationship Management, Enterprise Business Intelligence, and Ai Plug-in modules.

"The process of looking for a new PLM solution began when we realised our current system couldn't handle our needs as a rapidly growing company," says Elicia Riley Dorn, director of product design at Augusta Sportswear Brands.

She adds the chosen PLM "is equipped with tools such as Adobe Plug-in, line planning, and supplier relationship management – to name a few – that will allow us to become faster and more collaborative both internally and externally."
